NCC

The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.

The NCC wing was started in Bebe Nanaki University College by the 21 Punjab NCC Battalion, Kapurthala under the supervision of Col. Hitesh Duggal sena medal. The NCC wing of the college is under the supervision of CTO Deepak Talwar and the NCC wing has access to 50 cadets, and this number in merit in each year. The college’s NCC wing is in full progress in its glory, the wing has contributed significantly to various activities.

 The Results of the ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate Exam in the NCC wing are highly appreciated. To till date our NCC cadets, TSC camps to Delhi, have won the selection at the national Level, SUO Jugraj Kaur, Cadet Ritu, Cadet Manu Priya included in this list. Apart From this, Our cadet are participating every year In the ATC, NIC,  Army Attachment etc.

 The speciality of our NCC wing, SUO Jugraj Kaur, Cadet Ritu, Cadet Manu Priya has bagged the ‘GOLD Medal’ in 2019 in Map reading event at TSC Camp in Delhi. The TSC is a 12 days camp conducted in Delhi every year in the late autumn, in which the cadets are selected from all 17 directorates (30+3 cadets from each directorate), by the selection procedure conducting 3 pre-TSC camps each of 10–12 days in a week interval. The selected cadets then are sent to the TSC to represent their respective directorates in the following competitions:

1.      Obstacle course

2.      Map reading

3.      Judging Distance and Field signal

4.      Health and Hygiene

5.      Tent Pitching

6.      Firing

 Various types of Social activates are implemented each year through the college NCC wing. Activities like Yoga Day, Tree plantation, cancer Awareness Rally, Aids Awareness Rally, Traffic Awareness Rally, Blood donation camp, Swach Bharat Abhiyan Guest Lecture programs etc. Our cadets play an important role in the social development. The role of NCC in College performance has always been important.
